Mr. Strauss Goes To Boston

out-of-town try outs / Boston / August 13, 1945

(starring George Rigaud, Virginia MacWatters / 12 performances)

Despite favorable reviews in this try-out Boston run, Mr. Strauss Goes To Boston opened on Broadway Sept. 6, 1945
at the New Century Theatre and closed Sept. 15, 1945, running (with matinees) only 12 performances.
As Theatre Arts magazine said, "..no amount of waltzing could redeem (it) from monumental boredom."
