On Broadway, Captain Applejack, a play in three acts, ran from December 30, 1921 to June 1922 at the Cort Theatre for a total of 195 performances. A silent film was made in 1923 by Louis B. Meyer under the title, Strangers of the Night, and a sound film version was made in Britain (released in the US by Warner Bros.) in 1931.
