Years of Discretion opened on Broadway at the Belasco Theatre on December 25, 1912 and ran through June 1913
for a total of 190 performances. About half the cast members in this production (Robert McWade, Grant Mitchell,
Effie Shannon, Alice Putnam, and E.M. Holland) were members of the original Broadway cast.

- Exactly one week after this performance (November 24, 1913),
as the cast had moved to Cleveland, the next stop on their
tour, E. M. Holland died of a heart attack in his hotel room. -
